I've had my RCBS Uniflow for decades but this past weekend I had a batch of W572 powder with static cling to the inside of the hopper.

I know there is a way to get rid of the static...but I can't seem to recall what it is.

Anyone have any good tips?

Dryer sheet. I keep one in the hopper while not in use. The only place in the house they're used actually

100%. Wipe it out with a dryer sheet!!

Warm soapy water works where applicable.

What I have done with my powder funnel, if the powder starts sticking is to wash it with dish detergent and let it dry without rinsing.

Thanx guys...it was dish soap treatment that comes to mind now...I guess after a few decades the dish soap wears off. (along with my memory) I'll give a dryer sheet a go...its easier than disassembling the unit for a dish soap treatment.

much appreciated.

i grab the dryer sheets after they are used. There is enough left to coat the inside of the powder measure once, and LOML doesn't complain.

We don't use dryer sheets at all, so that's why I suggested the dish soap

Static electricity resides on the outside of the plastic, so iirc, you can wipe away on the outside with the dryer sheet and achieve the result you were expecting on the inside.

I just use a natural fiber brush when a powder sticks in the hopper. some powders don't have graphite coating and static cling in the hopper its just part of cleaning up when your done for a session of reloading

I spray all of the powder reservoirs on my measures with graphite lube from an aerosol can. I actually spray down all of the areas that will contact the powder as well, rotor, drop tube, etc.
