I've got a crazy mind. I have done shooting like that many times. Walking out to the target my head would get so big that I didn't know whether my neck was going to be able to hold it up.
I would take the target down and marvel at it. Then the old brain would switch gears and it would say "you aren't that good really" then all my shooting would flood over me and I would think about all the much worse targets I've shot and I would walk solemnly back to the firing like "Lady luck" was toying with me.
Great target though. I wish I could do that consistently.

There are a lot more targets that don't look like that then there are like this one. It hurts me to do it but I'm going to have to change the grips. Middle finger of shooting hand gets smacked pretty hard. Also the gun shoots about 2 1/2" high at 25 with the rear sight bottomed out. I think that can be fixed with careful filing in the sight mortise.

I managed to get to AA Class in silhouette with a SBH, 429421 and a healthy dose of 296. For me 296 always out shot 2400 for accuracy.

Don't file any sight until you've changed the grips. Changing how you hold it will change where it shoots.

Reminds me of shooting my Enfield .303 years ago. I had probably shot 5 rounds through it and decided to show it to my neighbor who had a 100 yard range. Sitting at a picnic table I shot 3 factory rounds with the standard open sights. Dead center, with a group size of a quarter. My neighbor: "Now that's some shootin!"

I was never able to repeat that performance.
