I have a pump-action shotgun that I would like to have the barrel reblued. The rest of the gun is in good shape; a hot dip blue with a standard finish would be fine (don’t need a high gloss)...Anyone know of a source for this work??thanks

Don't know if Briley is still open but they are setup to do everything on shotguns. Frank

Pa. has a gazillion smiths that do what you want. If the tanks are fired up, an extra barrel is no big deal.

Don't know what it would cost to reblue the barrel but cerakote might be cheaper and do a better job protecting the exterior of the barrel.

Great suggestion. I'm having the barrel done with Ceracote instead of bluing; it's a short riot length barrel that's going to be used on a home-defense shotgun and Ceracote is just perfect. Thanks for the help!

duracoat makes a fake bluing that looks surprisingly good and is more durable and weather proof then any bluing.

If you can find a long enough stainless "tank," home parkerizing is a piece of cake.
