Scored a bunch of ammo cheap today, there was 13 rounds of factory. 256 Newton ammo. Anyone know when this was last produced? Its Western headstamped.

I believe that Western stopped that in 1939 or so. Cool cartridge, too bad powder tech wasn't around at the time to make it longer lasting.

I had a 35 Newton a few years back. I got dies, brass, and loaded ammo from Buffalo Arms in Sandpoint Idaho. (Ponderay) Maybe you could get more info from them.
