I just received my new Saeco 315gc mold that took 3 months to deliver and I'm super excited! I thought it would be fun to use these boolits (and win) in the CMP Garand, Springfield and Military matches which are all shot at 200 yards. Here's is the trick, my club uses electronic targets so these boolits have to stay supersonic as they pass through the target or the sensors wont pick them up. These may be impractical for my M1 but they should do really well in my 03a3 and my K31. I'd love to hear about your experiences and get your load recommendations for 30/06 and 7.5x55 Swiss if possible. Thanks

Why would they not still be supersonic at 200yd? I'd load them up to 1800fps or so and go for it.

Most of the load data that I've seen has been pretty slow and tested mostly at 100 yrds. 1800fps at the muzzle sounds like a good target velocity.

IIRC that mold is 170gn? It is perfect to shoot at 1800 to 2000fps. Many different powders to choose from will get you there. Just look around in here for loads others use.

And, yes you can also load it down to subsonic levels if you so desire.
