Just want to let some know another place to look for JPW , I found some at a chain store of farm and fleet ,I was looking something else and seen 2 can on the shelf and could not past up on getting the 2 cans. Since is hard to find. The lady that cash me out told me that they will in time restock the shelf . But it is not seen as it was when we where younger. The top can still had some dust on it.

Last can I bought was purchased at Lowe's about 4 yrs ago. They had lots of them.

its the liquid wax that is discontinued and was the base for a lube, you can still get the paste wax and its great in bens red.

A little chunk of the paste wax is not bad in the liquid lube either. 1-2% Carnuba wax is all you need. Your bores will thank you.

I was digging around in our Hurrican Supply Cabinet yesterday and found a big round yellow can of Johnson's Paste Wax ...don't know how it got in there but I was glad to find it ...moved it to a place with my spray lubes , oils and such ... It doesn't need to be in the Hurricane Supplies ...waxing the hardwood floors during a hurricane ain't likely to happen .

Look at the first sticky in this boolit lube section, "Tumble lube easy and mess free". Basically you take a can of the JPW and gently warm it until it is liquid (not with an open flame), then add one 4 oz bottle of Lee liquid Alox. Stir it up and you are done. Just did about 500 .44 & .38 boolits a few minutes ago. It dries fast and non tacky. Works great so far with medium loads in my Smiths.

JPW has many uses. You can protect carbon steel knife blades with it and also rub it into oil finished rifle stocks to keep them from drying out.

I originally bought JPW to use on my table saw. Helps keeps the cast iron top from rusting and the wood moves very easily. Also, use it on any unprotected metal surfaces, such as the post on a drill press.
