H-335 is a very good powder in the 45-70. Gp

I imagine h335 would be a pain to work in a bfr i may try it some day

I've had good luck with 4227 and 4759 in my 45-70 BFR. I tried some of the slower powders, but the accuracy went out the window.

I’ve been having good success with WC844 in a 1895 trapper. It’s got a decent amount of flash though.

IMR 4227 and 4759.
I pushed 405s to 1750fps with 4227 from the 10" barrel of my BFR. It was no longer fun to shoot at that level, but was still controllable giving 1.5" groups at 50yds with open sights.

4759 has been discontinued, but can still be found occasionally. It's a great cast boolit powder.

I don't remember. All of my old load notes got destroyed in our shop fire several years back.
