Norinco sks sight question

I have a Norinco SKS that shoots so far to the right at 25 yds. that the front sight has to be moved ALL the way to the right to get POI to POA.
Has anyone else encountered this ?????? If so what did you do ??? Recrown the barrel, sand the barrel channel, have the barrel bent ? Or did you just shoot as is ??
Shooting:
1) WPA 123 grain JHP & JSP
2) Lee C-312-155-2R , SIZED .310, CCI LRP, 18.0 GRAINS IMR 4198 scaled. VELOCITY ONLY CHRONED 1470 FPS.
I didn't chrono the J BULLETS should be in the low 2000's
Any suggestions.

I like SKSs and have several. Most shoot very well. I'm familiar with the sighting arrangement. My suggestion would be to re-center the front sight and replace the rear sight with one adjustable for windage. I haven't bothered to look it up, but I think Williams Gunsight Co. may make something. I think they make a peep that would also be an improvement over the original sights.

Watching. Guess I got lucky mine hits POA at 25 yards with cheap Tula ammo. Haven’t shot it at any farther distances.

Disassemble removed barrel group, stand up and flip over rear sight and set inverted on a level putting rear sight base on zero plane. Run string through bore hanging out and down from muzzle with a small weight on end. With rear sight leveled look at angle and position of front sight assembly. What do you find? All things are pin/slot retained on barrel, if found off to each other tough fix. If really close may need to look elsewhere. Bent barrels have been encountered, set up with stripped and looking to a solid light color, back your head off about a foot from receiver and look down bore and roll your head around. If it is bent you should pick up on it.

try some j bullets thru it my cast bullets are 10 " rt or lf from j s dont remember which way at 100yds

I have thought about an optic.
I'm wondering now if the problem is related to velocity.
After posting the question I loaded the following and did not move the front sight. Front sight remained all of the way to the right.
Bullet is the Lee C312-155-2R.
Powders:
14.0 grains of IMR 4227
16.0 grains of IMR 4198. DROPPED 2 GRAINS FROM 18.0 GRAINS.
16.5 grains of Alliant RX-7

THESE loads impacted the target 3-4" TO THE LEFT OF THE POINT OF AIM. The groups were good for all of the loads even the J bullets. Just different POI.
Slower velocity making that much difference in POI???
I dunno. Scratching my bald head.

I have the same Norinco SKS.

I bought the Williams Firesight for the front that has the aperture that replaces the old rear sight. It shoots a foot high because the front post sits too high and the rear aperture can only go so low. I want the adjustable Techsights, which is the rear and cost about $82, and much better I think.

FWIW, I loaded those same cast .312 -55’s for mine once and loaded them so slow they wouldn’t even move the bolt back but they were lined up straight on the target.

Tech-Sights is the way to go. Find a load that works both the rifle and the sights, and stay with it.
