Hello, I am contemplating buying a Pietta 1873 in .44-40 and I wondered if anybody out there had reloaded cast boolits for one of these?
Right now I just want to load smokeless rounds with 200 - 215 grain RNFP.

1) Has anyone slugged the bore for groove diameter and measured the chamber throats?
2) Are the chamber throats undersized or oversized for the groove diameter?
3) What is your experience with bullet diameter with loaded rounds regarding easy chambering with Starline brass?
4) What diameter bullets do you use in your Pietta revolver?
5) What kind of accuracy can I expect?

Thankyou in advance for any information that you can give.
