Greetings!

Can anyone recommend a mold that has a blunt enough nose that can be powder coated for use in the 357 Sig? Preferably in the 100gr to 135gr weight range.

In addition, can anyone direct me to an online source for cast bullet load data for the 357 Sig?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Gentlemen,

I appreciate the referrals; however, they links provided show data for either 357 Sig jacketed bullets and molds for 38/357 magnum.

I appreciate the effort!

Using the same link as above and two extra clicks of the mouse here is the sig data.

You may have to use the larger diameter 357 mag Boolits depending on your work up.

Have you slugged your barrel to see what diameter boolit you need?

What do you mean by a boolit with a "blunt enough nose"?

The Lee 358-125RF is a spittin image of the bullet used in Winchester White Box factory loads. Powder coat it or lube it and enjoy.

One interesting fact... I shot the same boolit in 350 Legend through an AR at 2650 fps... With no leading and great accuracy...266373

Why a blunt nose, just out of curiosity. If you havdnt found a mold yet, look at the options at Accurate Molds. He can do just about anything you want. Great quality molds.

I use the Lee 358-125 RF it is the same profile as some factory FMJ as stated above. I laddered up to 1325 fps while the factory rounds went 1350. I had collected so much brass over the years I bought a drop in barrel for my G22. I enjoy shooting this cartridge but generally carry the 40 S&W as that was my duty weapon and round before retiring.

You need a blunt nose to make OAL work with the short neck. Accurate is the way to go, dont bother trying to make something else work. Though my Saeco mold does a good job. Accurate will be cheaper for a 4-5cav than a 4cav Saeco.
