View Full Version : SAS Single Stage Press ???

The only identification markings seem to be the raised SAS letters in what appears to be a cast iron handle. I just ran across it on an online auction house site and was curious, as I am not familiar with SAS reloading equipment.

Edit added: the third bolt location above the die threads would seem to mean a horizontal only press for what??

That is a bullet swaging press. Fading memory won't let me go deeper. It's connected to the Corbin swaging presses. They were made in the same area of the country.

It’s a SAS “Mity-Mite” bullet swaging press. Enormous leverage for swaging, not enough ram travel for reloading.

I think the Corbins carried it for a while after they bought out Ted Smith, and then it morphed into the Corbin “Silver” Press.
