Just curious as to whether anyone has had experience with .38 Special bullets cast from this mould. I've had a 4-cavity mould for almost forty years but probably have never seriously tested handloads using the 140 grain (ww alloy) SWC plainbase bullets. I'll assume the #12 series (three weights from 130-150 grains, plain or gas check designs) was never among H&Gs more popular moulds.

Can’t say I’ve tested a ton of mine as I prefer the #50 and based on my grandpas castings left behind I think he abandoned it for the full WC 50 as well. I can say the 12s seem to pop on eBay more frequently than most mold numbers (besides 50,130,68) but that’s just based on my sporadic searches.

Thanks, StuBach; I have not looked at anything on Ebay in a long time. I'm going to try a few of the 12s in a .38 Special. I've use mostly the #51 H&G and the Lyman #358311. These have been very accurate, but maybe the #12 will make a good showing.
