Sako Brass

I just came across an advertisement for Sako brass. They say their brass is a higher quality than all others. Has anyone had experience with it? Is it really longer lasting when reloading? I haven’t seen any prices yet. Maybe it’s out of this world expensive.

Just checked and it seems like it costs roughly twice the price as Starline. I doubt if you will get twice the number of reloads out of it. Does anyone think it is worth it?

Some Sako brass used to be made by Norma. If it's still made by Norma the tolerances are excellent but the case heads seem to be softer so I have had issues with primer pocket expansion. That being said Norma may have addressed the soft case head issues since I used it. I prefer Lapua brass but until I get to 600 plus yards I normally don't use premium brass.

Sako brass is most likely lapua, soo they would be right.

We had some Sako .32 S&W Long brass in the 80s along with an early Ruger SSM. The rims were too thick for the RCBS .32 shell holder. The ammo all worked(98grWC) fine, I just couldn't reload the brass. I have no idea about current Sako brass.
