And had some fun shooting some Armscore 22 hollow point ammo through it . It made quarter size groups at 50 yds which I thought it might do better. I have a bunch of that ammo but also have some other loadings to try.

The rifle is my Remington 513 that I bought when the Y2K end of civilization panic was going on. I made a bi-pod and mounted the scope myself.

I have 4 bricks of the armscor 22's. I should see how they shoot. Nice remmy too.

.22s are fun. I wouldn't be dissatisfied with quarter-sized groups! :-D

I thought the rifle looked familiar, before I read the narrative. I have a 512

You might notice that the stock has a thumb relief groove cut in it on the right side of the pistol grip area of the stock. I had considered replacing the stock and even had one bought off of an old US marked 513. It was very rough and I am glad i left the original stock alone in its altered state. It is comfortable to use. The Armscore ammo was on sale for about $.03 a round over the winter several times and I stocked up. I have a 512 with a very stiff trigger and a 521 that was my first rifle back in the 60's. I will have a 22 day before winter comes around again where all I take to the range is 22s. Pistols and rifles.

It's always a great time when you send time on the 22's trigger.
I have had some good luck getting the Armscor HPs to group very well.
