I am going to order a mold from Accurate for something else, and I would like a mold for use with a M96 Swede, so might as well get it from the same place. I'm not sure of weight or profile. The bore is typical minty Swede, but I have not slugged it. Is a bore riding boolit necessary for a Swedish Mauser?

264954I use a RCBS 140gn silhouette bullet for my M96 Swede gas checked to .265 and get good results.

I don't believe Accurate makes any moulds below .28 caliber(?). I suggest the NOE 268-134-FN-AL4 which is a 4 cavity aluminum mould very similar to, if not a copy of, the 6.5 Kurtz design. It is an excellent design comparable in performance to the old Loverin designed Lyman 266455. Unfortunately the Lyman is no longer available but the NOE will certainly do as well.

Thanks for the info. I should have better written the title.

How fast do you push that RCBS boolit? Another thread mentioned keeping velocity below 2000 with the 6.5.

How large the RCBS bullet drops in your mold?? I size the cruise missiles to 0.268'' for my swedish rifles, can i do that with the RCBS silhouette mold?

0.267 on the bands, 0.259 on the nose section; l use a gas check, standard sizing and lube followed by tumble lube since the rifling bites into the nose. Shoots nice groups in my odd duck.

I beagled my mould and it throws .268 bullets, which I use for my Type 38 Arisaka.
