What version of windows do you use? Like XP, 7.0, 8.0, 10, etc. Do you use a digital camera, and can you upload them to your computer's "my pictures"?

Can you see the buttons and windows in the photo upload window, or is it all mashed together? I was having that trouble until I maximized that window. Fixed all my troubles.

Let's see if I can help, this is how I do it. The picture needs to be on your computer and you need to know where to find it.

Step 1

264683

Step 2 that brings up the dialog block below

264684

click on from computer and choose file.

pick the file for the right place on your computer then click on upload

you will see text in your message like attach=config] number [attach

That is your picture and you will see the picture when you send the message.

I have uploaded lots of pictures in the past.

I will have to type out this display:
Castboolits.gunloads.com says
Savage 19 2-3-2017.jpg Exceeds your quota by 5.01MB <a href=misc.php?do=attachments" target="_blank">Click here to view your attachments </a>

I get that even if I resize down to a thumbnail of resolution.

i believe you have exceeded the amount of pictures you have in your storage area here.... its kinda of like when you have too many private messages and you need to delete some....

you can delete old pictures by clicking on your username in the upper right hand corner.. then click on UserCP... then look all the way on the bottom left hand corner for the Attachments then you should be able to see the pictures you have uploaded in the past and if you are over your quota...

pm me if you need further help

I am getting old and going downhill. I don't want to delete my old good gunsmithing pics to post my new bad gunsmithing pics.

so you reached the intended max limit of server stored images and decided it was gunloads' fault? this is not a fault of the gunloads management, or you for that matter. perhaps you should query gunloads if increasing that threshold is possible. if not, use an online image archive site such as www.imgur.com for all yer posted images.

using attached images is a good thing for both the poster and the forum. it's immediate image posting for the user and it means that the image now resides on the forum so that it will never possibly get "lost" as can too easily happen if an online image archive service is used.

Gee, Mr. Clark, I feel your pain. I ran across the same thing about 2 years ago. One thing you can do is to increase the level of your membership in the forum, and along with that comes an increase in photo storage space. Once you fill that up you're just at a dead end, and the only way to post new photos is to remove old ones. I protested loudly, and sent a couple of e-mail to the folks upstairs without any solution, so I started with the oldest and began sorting through them and eliminating the ones I felt to be less important. I think there were over 20 pages of them, and I ended up with 4 pages. Now I'm up to about half capacity again. Photos add so much to a thread, and can be instructional, informative, and/or entertaining. It's kind of frustrating to find an interesting old thread that has had the photos removed, but
the same or similar questions keep popping up, and if you've kept the photos in your computer you can have the satisfaction of posting them again. Just a fact of forum life, I guess. :coffeecom

Cant upload pictures? Not exactly a true statement is it? A quick search of the forum shows you have 502 pictures uploaded/stored here.

So here’s the real question: Are you threatening to stop supporting the forum because you have reached the storage limit allowed at your patronage level and we won’t give you more?
