Neck up 6mm, neck down 7mm?

7mm is getting hard to find also. I bought 6mm to neck up when I needed 50 in a pinch.

"We need to quit waiting for someone else to protect our rights. NRA isn't going to do it for us. If you aren't emailing, calling, writing and visiting your reps, if you aren't pro-active in this fight..."

Actually, I think the NRA has always promoted that idea, as strongly as the printed word can put it.

sucks as most of the necks don't expand evenly.Make them all from 30-06. I have 3 sets of rcbs dies that belonged to my father. We made them all from 30-06 cases back in the fifties. They have three dies per set. You have to aneal the cases before you start. Makes real good brass from National Match brass. Lumpie

I was surprised to find R-P brand Roberts brass in stock at Cabela's - for a reasonable price, even. It must be pretty common these days.

Actually the 30-'06 is an overgrown 8x57. Which came first, the 7 or 8mm, I don't recall. The 8 I think.

i believe the 7 was first. then the 8 then we ripped the 8 off for the ballistics.
because of the bullet style and velocity.
if peter/paul had only heard somebody mutter [140grs stupid]
we might have stopped all cartridge development, designed some new rifles and powders and maybe some new bullet designs.
it only took remington 95 years to re-design it. raise the pressures and still only match what would have been the correct ballistics.
if the 7 were built in a 98 instead of a 93,things would be different.

this is just my opinion[the correct one of course] and may[probably] reflect the opinions of the management,or not.

You could always ask Karamojo Bell if he felt undergunned. 7x57 should get it done for all but the biggest bears/Bison/Muskox in North America
