Yes sir, do it myself.

It will fit on some moulds, it will be loose on others

My experience has been not only NO, but HE** NO! At least on Lyman 410610's.
I have annealed some Hornady .416's but haven't had a chance to try them.
From what I can determine, the .416 shank is smaller than the Lyman 410610 shank.
What type .41 bullet are you using?

Greetings and WELCOME GUMPY ! This is a great place to get the facts and discover the individual misfortunes of some serious casters.
If you are not pushing much past 1200 fps why bother with those costly little bandades ? I possibly have used every Gas Check mold I have WITHOUT checks. In 41 Revolvers I cannot think of a boolit I shot with a GC attached last time back up there. If I want to push it faster I cast it harder. That would be a good experiment anyway...

Hornady .416 gaschecks worked fine on my Lyman & LBT moulds. My Lyman mould had an excessively tapered gas check shank, but annealing seemed to help a lot. I never did try any other brand of check.

I have used them for years on LBT and MOuntain Molds--DHC on Lyman -ask for a few and try them? On my MM they are there until the bullet is destroyed

I tried some on the boolit that 7BR was soft pointing in a thread up the page. It worked if you annealed the checks and spread them with a 1" ball bearing as a punch.

You're not gonna like this answer, but Sometimes.
I use Lyman .410's, but they SOMETIMES work, too. Much seems to depend on the alloy. Some alloys shrink less than others, when coming out of the mold.
Most of the time, if you want a gc boolit, you cast harder, leaving less reason to have a gc.
I use two SWC boolits, of about the same weight, one w/o gc...RCBS and the other w/gc, a Lyman. The gc is for when the boolit is in the barrel, and doesn't seem to matter much after the muzzle.
I'm not happy with leaving the gc off, because the lube will fill the recess, and smoke more when I fire. If you decide not to use gc, you can take a Dremel-tool and make it a flatbase boolit. I've done it with bevel-base boolits, which I have no use for. I modify the mold, not the boolit.
Have fun,
Gene

I guess the answer is; if you desire a GC, buy a custom mould from LBT, MM or NEI and specify that you will be using 416 GCs
