A good friend of mine got out of reloading due to other hobbies taking over his retired time.
He was at my range today and gave me 56 pounds of IMR-7383 smokeless powder.
He knows I shoot the crap out of this and have very good results with this powder in many calibers.( .17 Rem up to .50 Alaskan)
He has seen the results of my shooting using this powder at our 800 yard range many times over the years.
He told me " I know you'll put it to good use".... All I could say was thank you. Pretty lame. I was stunned. I'm retired on a fixed income. I have enough powder now for a few years of shooting. Thank you just doesn't cut it.

That's good to hear.
And it speaks well of you.

People tend to surround themselves with friends who are cut from the same cloth, and very much like their self.

Like Winger said.

You might think that your thanks weren't enough, but he did pick YOU to be the recipient, and YOU to be his long time friend.

Chances are, many times over those years, not only did he see you shoot, he learned to appreciate you as a friend and colleague, and has benefited from that in many ways you might not remember. This is HIS way of saying thanks for all that.
