Anyone cast for a 40 krag? If so what brand mold and what weight and boolit profile are you using?
As always, thanks for the help.

I use the NOE equivalent 299314 sized to .311 for my Krag made in 1902, an 03 made in 1934 and No4 MkI 5 groove made in 1944 sized to .314. My load is 17 gr 2400 when I do my job the rifles they always do theirs.

If loading for a Krag necked up to .40 cal. either of these will work.

Outpost, are these mold drawings from an existing mold or is this just a drawing of a mold not yet made. If this is a off the shelf mold, than it might be worth it if I don't have to wait weeks and weeks for it.

Cataloged molds from Accurate. Each is made to order. When ordering dimensions can be tweaked for your gun and alloy. Tom could add a GC heel if desired, increasing bullet length by about 0.09," and adding about 20 grains in weight for a .40 cal.

Delivery time 3 weeks.

A .40 Krrag is pretty much a .40-60 Maynard. If you just want an off-the-shelf you could investigate the Lyman or RCBS offerings. This depends on your groove diameter of course. The 300 gr. RCBS will run around .408-.410 as cast from softer alloy.
Lyman makes, or did at least, a mold for a lighter .40 bullet (265 gr?).
