I have seen a lot of information that pretty much equates Shooters World Precicsion rifle powder with Varget...

I also have a couple of varget loads that I like to shoot in my 1895. It seems like the slower burning powder makes the recoil from high velocity rounds not as jarring -- more like a push.

I'm wondering if anyone has tried shooting Precision in their 45-70 and if they have any thoughts on it? Eg. Does it behave like Varget?

Just got my order of S.W. Precision last week. I have only loaded 20 rounds for 45/70. I loaded with Varget data& every thing went fine. Very happy with this powder. Am loading it in 45/70 ,35 Whelen & 308 so far. Will try 7-08 & 6.5 later
