Today is LOML's and my 45 anniversary. Not much of a celebration, just spent about two hours walking through the Norfolk Botanical Gardens after Church - which met together for the first time in three months today. Just ordered steak dinners to be delivered - but we tend to be homebodies anyway.

Congrats Wayne, wishing you many more.
We passed 50 last month. We're homebodies too, and our son, daughter-in-law & granddaughter put on a really nice dinner at home. Even had a bakery duplicate the top layer of our wedding cake from old pictures. It couldn't have been any nicer. We're blessed!

Congratulations!!

I made it 20 years and a week before my bride decided a high school sweetheart on Facebook was more important than the vows we took before God.

But I'm not bitter...

It's good to see so many on here with lasting commitment. My folks made it to 58 years before Mom passed. Second marriage for both of them too.

Wife and I will hit the 32 year mark in a couple of days. Hard to believe it's been that long. It isn't always easy, but nothing worthwhile ever is, it seems.

Congrats also.

I got 30 years before getting hurt and her saying divorce over having to work. Congrats to all of you that make the long term. I am hoping to be with my girlfriend for the remainder of my time.

congratulations Wayne! 45 years is quite a spell. As Paul Harvey used to say.."their not all slip knots". I'm glad your knot is still holding fast. This day and the age we are living in puts a strain on everything including the marriage we are to be committed to. The wife and I are still hanging on to that knot too. Enjoy those golden years because they truly are. August 20 is our day and it will be 53 years for us. To paraphrase froggy on this board(I hope I have his handle correct) who says it ain't easy being green, I say it ain't easy staying hitched to your childhood sweetheart.

Congratulations!

Next month will be 27 for us. It actually looks like I must be one of the youngest ones here! (That hasn't happened in quite a while!)

Congratulations Wayne on June eighth. Ours is June fourth. 66 years ago. Wow Some of you "younger" guys are in for some blissful, happy years if you work it just right. By that I mean that, it is like more than 50 - 50 on each other's part and you have to be kind and loving. Best advice is to make it a threesome with God being first.

Absolutely God is first - no question for both of us. That is what has kept us together through sin and sickness and anxiety and depression. He is keeping us together still and will never stop - he promised to never leave us or forsake us.

Congratulations, we had our 45th earlier this year.

She asked, "Do you remember when . . . . . . ."
"Sorry Dear, if it was before breakfast probably not!"

That long wow.
Anything happen after say 35 years? Or Does the world just become some sort of blurr with moments of lucid reality.

Ghee Iv’e only been married to my wife for 35 years.
Have been divorced many times on big trips for the first few hrs or days.

Apparently she still loves me even thou she hates my guts sometimes.

I think she only keeps me around to undo the jar lid tops that she must have loosened.
I don’t know how long I will last as my wrists crack more often than not now.

Wish me luck!
I’m in for the long haul with this one.
:happy dance:
And loving it.

My wife and I will hit 23 on the 10th. More importantly, she will be cancer free 6 years on the 11th. There is nothing like promising forever and being told it might not be that long. Faith in God, hope in miracles, love that transcends minor disagreements, and lasts truly, forever. That and her strong desire to be there for the grand babies, the latest boys were born the 29th. Little miracles, both of them.

Congratulations on the 23 years but also on the 6 years with Her being cancer free. My Wife and I have been through the cancer thing, and some other stuff. It can break you apart or bring you closer. Its what you make of it. Congratulations to you and Her!

Congrats to everyone here. On July 19 we will hit 51 years. I was fresh back from 2 years of Uncle Sam and she had been waiting patiently.
