One of my favorites for pistols and a hi-point carbine. One warning, if powder coated, it will need to be seated very short to plunk in some guns so watch max loads.

Feeds in all my "throated" M1911s.

Doesn't feed reliably the 1st 3-4 rounds (13 round mags) in my P14 with integral ramp on the barrel. The feed angle is too steep on the ramp causing the short stubby bullet nose to jam into the top of the chamber w/o enough leverage to cam the case up onto the breech face. Lee's 200 gr SWC (H&G copy) and the 230 gr TC both feed 100 % in all my 45 ACPs. I also use the 230 TC in my 45 Colts.

Lee 452. 200rf feed well and shot well (if seated deep enough)

Like Larry, I prefer the 200 gr SWC and the Lyman 452460 (another .452 200gr SWC)

I shot it in my 1911s and got an occasional stoppage even when I had it seated as deep as I was comfortable, still I shot that bullet for 4-5 years before an Rcbs 45-201 swc found it way home. Found the Rcbs shot better and was 100% reliable in my 1911 so the Lee gets used in my 45acp rifle loads, 45 colt and if I ever find a 1917 I can afford, 45AR. Now a buddy of mine had a 1911 that ate those lee RNF like candy and pushed them into little bug hole groups. So I guess my answer would be try it, it really depends on the pistol.

I have some magazines that will not feed them well in the RIA, and I have some magazines that feed them perfectly. I found out that second part after i had sold the mold, but, fortunately, have a considerable stockpile to work through.

I never used that bullet in a 1911, I always used a 200 grain SWC. However I have used it in my 3 S&W 1917's and a S&W 22-4 THS and it shot very well in them. I used them as they came from the mold but tumbled in Lee LL alox. Shot very well in those. james

I use that boolit with excellent results in my 1911 Range Officer and my Springfield XDm.

Thinking of trying one,for my ruger american pistols,,because the usual swc,s for the 45,,dont feed reliable in them.22 bucks,is a cheap trial i guess.

After you size it, you can see a line where the sizing ends near the nose of the boolit. Seat the boolit so that line is right at or just out of the case mouth. That should work fine in just about any gun regardless of throating.

Works well in my Kahr 45 when seated deep
