I have been give 2 bottles of N310 to use in my .32's, as son-in-law bought a retires reloading setup. He also gave me a Vihtavuori Reloading Manual First Edition, it only gives the max load and warns to start at 10% smaller. It shows 2.2 gr max for a 71 gr FMJ with Sako case, O.A.L. .984. I am using a cast 75-76 gr RNFP sized to .311, Star-Line cases, WSP primers, and O.A.L. of .979-.981.

I have not used this powder so need some loads to start with for 70 gr to 90 gr bullets to get started with. I am using Lyman sizing, belling, and seating dies. I use a Lee Taper Crimp die for crimping. I also have a set of Redding dies I can use.

This is what I do for extrapolating or modifying data to work in my situation. Use at your own risk.

I look at the data and immediately think 10% less to start since its the max load they show. So 2.2 grains becomes somewhat near 2 grains. Then you are using a heavier boolit. Lets subtract for that, taking into account the small charge and small case, 1.9 grains. Then you are seating deeper, lets go down to 1.7-1.8 grains to start.

This is simply how I look at it. I think you'd be fine to start at 1.6 to 1.8 grains and start working up. When starting low, check the bore for a squib to be careful.

With bulseye Powder my start load was 1.7 and went up to 2.2 gr. I also used the 73 gr fmj and my 81gr lead ,lee mold cut down.

If it’s like bulseye 1.7 for me was a very mild load . 2.0 seemed better and the 2.2 where like factory loads.
