boolit to get a Contender ready to hunt by Saturday morning.

"Original" 429421, GB 429421, 45-2.1's GB 250 RNFP, RD's 278 grain TL RNFP.

Shots will be under 50 yards, I will keep them that way.

Otherwise the 1886 or the 338 Mag and RCBS can handle it!

Assuming you mean a 10" Contender/Encore barrel? If so then just be aware that "regular" revolver loads will give a lot better ballistics sans the cylinder throat and barrel/cylinder gap. Expect 150+ fps more velocity than out of a 6-7.5" revolver. With PN cast I have to back off traditional loads to keep velocity around 1500 fps or accuracy suffers. The 429421s cast of 14-18 BHN alloy over 19 -20 gr 2400 is a very good load as is 20-22 gr of 4227. That bullet right at 1050 fps with 8-8.5 gr of Unique is also a good one. 429244 (GC bullet) over 24 gr of H4227 is an excellent load at 1500 fps.

I don't have the other two bullets so can't comment.

Started out with 6.5 Bullseye and 45-2.1's 250 grain boolit.

Dang, it was clear over the top of my backer and way to the right. Lets see, roughly 20 inches high and 18 to the right and the rear sight is prett well screwed down and centered

Ok, way off, but if I speed it up it will come down, right?

NOPE, gotta dig through my box of sights and find a better combination.
Highest front sight I have and the new version high back sight bottomed out and I am just a little high. Lets see I have a lower version of the new sight, I'll try it. Almost bottomed out and I am in the ball park at least. Three or four more combos and I get it locked in and nice groups start to appear at 25 with 8.0 Bullseye, 429412GB and 45-2.1's boolit.

Did I mention long throat . . .I don't have a boolit including Lee 429310 that will reach the lands and have any part of the boolit in the case. Oh well, I get to playing and 429421GB and 45-2.1 boolit group well at 25 . . . real well.

Wonder what my SRH load with the Lee 429310 will do. Doggone, perfect windage and 1 inch above the other two boolit impacts.

I love it when all goes well.

Rear sight is WAY OFF to the left to get sighted in, but will not let that bother me for this season. May send a picture to TC later (after season) and ask if they feel that is reasonable sight setting/alignment.

Oh well cleaned it up, and this is the first barrel I have had the least bit of leading, in years. Not bad, but I am spoiled I don't have a barrel that leads with any loads I shoot in them.

Oh well, two shots down range to get it settled in and it is good to go for Mr. or Ms Whitetail.

Remember that the sights are regulated for bullets od 180 -240 gr being pushed at max velocity. Most users don't use "plinking loads" in TCs, or at least TC didn't percieve they would. Going outside that parameter is obviously the problem. With my 8.4" (some was cut off by the original owner) Contender ther is 18" of vertical difference (50 yards) between a 240 SWC at 750 fps and the 429244 at 1500 fps.
