They look like they t h u m p.

I personally like the look of Blackhawks way more than their Super Redhawks. Something about the barrel extension just doesn't do it for me like the Blackhawks cleaner lines. I wish the barrel more resembled the lines of the frame like the GP100.

I love 7" Redhawks. No kick even with the maximum load. Helluva of a gun!

That's not how I would put it. 21.5 gr H110 and the Lee 310 gr is GNARLY, no matter the gun, and that's not even the max load! I'm sure a muzzle break helps. They do something like 1280 fps from my 5 1/2" redhawk. I shutter to think what it does from the 10 1/2" Blackhawk, which is not one bit easier to shoot them in. The longer barrel seems to even make it hurt worse. :?

Sorry, my standards for perceived recoil are somewhat different. I am way over 200lb, with huge hands.
When I shoot 3.6 gr of Unique behind a 110 gr bullet out of my St Etienne 1882, it is a different story. It feels like I am being flogged.

Which grips do you like better?

Since I have big hands, I like the Hogue grip on the Super Blackhawk, but I find the most comfortable grip to be the Pachmayr Presentation.

My biggest reason for going with the Hogue grip is because I do a lot of coyote and hog hunting with a revolver, and the sling carry system seems to work best for me.

+1 for Pachmayr Presentation.
