Looks like fun. I scanned the website but couldn't find info on whether or not the tracers are "hot" or the newer "cold/glow" technology. I wouldn't want to start any forest fires...

Starting a fire is certainly a concern. Looks like he was playing it safe and shooting in the snow.

Their website says, “Tracers can and will start fires. Do not use in dry, windy conditions.” Shooting over snow isn’t much of an option on the Gulf Coast.

A buddy had a handful of them years ago.
They are fun to shoot.
Not sure the exact range, but the trace did burn out pretty soon.

Clean your bore.
Lots of tracer compounds contain chlorates. Either as part of the mixture, or ignitor.
It'll be just like corrosive ammo.
