Have to do the draws on a #4 Enfield stock and really don't want to open my last box of acra glass gel for such a small area. Do have some JB Weld and would be prefect for this small job. So what release agent could or should I use?. Any and all suggestions and comments are appreciated Thanks,Frank

Pam works, same for car wax, same for clear shoe polish. I use a commercial mold release. It works great. Once it dries you can't tell its there.

I used Oneshot case lube with JB Weld on my Ruger American into a Boyd's stock. Two good coats letting it dry in between.

I always used Pam. Regardless of what you use, if the part is still sticky you can always put it in the freezer for an hour or so.
I used JB Weld to spot bed a Plastic stock on one of my #4's to make it fit better.
I just used paste wax for a release agent.

LLA work great as a release agent for me. Light coat, let dry. It cleans off easily with bore solvent.

Looks like the general consensus is paste wax which I have plenty of. And is for the draws where the recoil surfaces on the lug where the sear and mag release go. Once I get the draws done will glass bed the entire action and knox form and center section of the forend. Thanks for all the suggestions and comments. Much appreciated. Frank
