I really enjoy 1911 handguns. Recently, I’ve noticed Brownings 1911-380. The more I look at it the deeper in love I fall.

Does anyone have experiences that might hinder this future relationship? Any pros or cons?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

They have a polymer frame.

Yes, sad to say. That's a turnoff for me. I like the design, size, and caliber, but hate the plastic. I could even go aluminum, but it needs to be steel. Seems like every other day or so I get an e-mail ad from CDNN with these in a dozen variations, but all have the polymer frame.

On their behalf-- they won't leave you for a blond haired, blue eyed, surfer bum like those fickle goats will.:bigsmyl2:

I handled the browning and a kimber micro 380 2020 shot show. Kimber is Aluminum frame, and steel sights over the brownings plastic sights and frame. At buds the kimber is $421. For the price of the browning, it would be nice to get metal.
