They claim its a all in one die that will form a round nose or semi wad cutter. I have a #101 set for .410 caliber bullets and have been happy with the results. What I'm looking to do now is get a little more testing done with using cases for jackets and get a set for .429 (.44mag) using 40S&W cases as I seem to have too many for the zero guns I own in that caliber. I also have a few boxes of half jackets I could use.

So for what I want to do would the 105 die work or should I just swing for the 101 since I'll hafta be seating a core into a jacket and upsize it? :drinks:

This is what I did with 101 dies and 40 S&W cases. I used a .40 175 TC cast in pure lead as the core, which combined with the case made a .429" bullet weighing 245 grains.

I'd recommend them over 105 dies because you can have a jacketed ogive that doesn't have lead contacting the bore.

Interesting! I will have to try that. I have been making 180 HPs from 40 180 FPs.

So the 105 dies will give me lead touching the bore then? does it (105 die) put a shoulder on the ogive with both RN and SWC nose designs then? so i guess that means I would hafta shorten up a 40 S&W case to use as a jacket if I went that route. but I do have some cups around but not enough to make the 105 set worth it over the 101's....And I don't think anybody has a 44swage set they would trade me for my 41 die set...hmmmmm guess I need to save pennies again.
