Shotgun stock interchangeability

Does anyone know if the stock from a Stevens 58 12 bolt action will fit a old Marlin 55 ? I've been net surfing for the last hour and can find a answer one way or the other , they sure do look very similar to each other

Been a long time since I held either of those guns in my hand; but I'm going to say no, not really.

You may be able to cobble one together to where it works, but it will probably have spacious gaps that are very noticeable.
