Just slugged the bore on my P-32, because I'm toying with the idea getting a mold for it. Came in at .3045". That's a bit tight, right? It supposed to be .308-.309", isn't it?

Are you measuring the bore or groove? Does the barrel have an even or odd number of lands and grooves?

Odd numbers of lands require wrapping the slug with thin paper like cigarette wrapping paper, measuring over that and then subtracting twice the paper thickness, unless you have a V-anvil micrometer which is of the correct included angle based on the number of grooves.

I don't know about the p-32 specifically, but the 32 acp usually as around a .304" bore diameter and .312" groove diameter.

^What he said. SAAMI Specs are .304 bore and .311 groove diameters.

It is an odd number. I tried the paper wrap method, still came out to .305". I'm going to try re-slugging tonight. Maybe I did something wrong.

My two P32's love .312 boolits, never slugged 'em before nor do I see a need to.

I did measure my P32, it came out just a shade over .311 after factoring in the paper thickness. If yours is that small, it should go back. Warranty is very good and their service is great. I sent mine in for some manufacturing upgrades as mine was very early production.

BTW, I use .3125 cast in mine. Keep the pressure down, the barrel and chamber on this little guy are very thin.

I use a feeler gauge. Don't know that it' more accurate but it seems to stand up to adjusting the mic better.

I have had several P32's over the years, and currently have two of them. One is bone stock and gets carried with Fiocchi FMJ. The other has had the the ejector modified so I can more easily find empties, also the slide lock has been deleted as it can be activated by fat ogive boolits. I have always found these pistols to be surprisingly accurate given their small size, miniscule sights, and DAO trigger. A P32 is my usual summer carry as it conceals perfectly in the slacks I usually wear and I can shoot it as well as any other pocket gun. I'll be interested to see how it compares to the LCP .22 I have in layaway jail.

I've tried the feeler gauge method, but was never satisfied with the results. I prefer to take odd groove bullets into work and measure on a v block as shown above.
