Sizing jacketed bullets and spring back

Hi i plan on using a 243 fl sizing die for point forming some .451 -.452 jackets bullets that i picked up for cheap. Now when point from these they will end up about .454ish. I planned on using a lee bullet sizer sized for .451 to allow for spring back of jacketed bullets. Will the lee bullet sizer be strong enough for a jacketed bullet or would I be better off making one? hope you can help me thanks.

The Lee sizer is plenty strong enough for jacketed bullets. I have found that spring back is around .002. Hope this helps

Yes it does thank you so my aim is .451-.452 should i go with .429 and open the die up to .450 since there is .002 spring back or just go with a .451 sizing die?

I used a .368" NOE sizer to size down some Speer .375" 235s to .369"
I first polished the die, then used a lot of imperial sizing die wax to lube them up. I used a Lee classic cast press and bent the hollow handle. I found a handle from a Dillon 550 on eBay and it works great.
The NOE Sizers come in a wide range of sizes.

I would start with the .429 die and polish it out till you get the desired diameter of bullet. Polish and test size as you go. Sure it's time consuming but well worth the effort.

Ya thats what i was thinking of doing. First im going to bore it to .445 then polish it to desired size i think. I wish they made a .450 dia die.

Lyman makes a .450 die for the lube/sizers but I am afraid the linkage on a 450 is not strong enough to handle what you want to do.

You have to run them through the sizer multiple times before the sizing takes, each time they spring back less.

So if that is the case ill go with a .451 sizing die if they spring to .452-3 ill be fine as these will be for a ruger nmbk.

NOE has a 450 bushing. They work great BTW. You just get one die body, then put in which ever bushing size you want and get to work.

I see noe carries the replacement die body that be the one i need when they get back in stock correct? Along with the bushing you sent the link to.
