Need help identifying a rifle

I need help identifying a gun that I just purchased at the gun show. It is an Austin & Halleck .45 inline bolt action with satin nickel plated barrel. First half of the barrel is octagonal and the second half all of the way to the muzzle is round. The rifle came with the manual for a .50 cal so I don't know what charge it will take and unfortunately it does not have a model stamped on it anywhere. I am curious about the quality and the value of a rifle like this so any input would be appreciated. Thanks. Unfortunately I cant get a picture up at this time.

Sounds like an A&H model 320. If in good shape, those are decent performing rifles but a little bit of a pain to clean in the bolt area. Your .50 manual should specify load recommendations that would apply to the .45 so far as charge weight.

Many of those rifles were closed out at around $200 new before A&H closed their doors. PRBullet sells a 209 plug/conversion for the rifle http://www.prbullet.com/ah.htm and would probably sell the plugs alone. I don't know of any other support for the rifles just now.

320 L/R is definitely the one. Thanks for the help. The rifle actually came with adapters for 209, musket, and percussion. This is a beautiful rifle and I must say I am very pleased. I forgot to mention that it was NIB and I only paid 175.

I need a little bit of help on this one. I was going through the manual and trying to see if there might be load data for the .45 caliber rifle and it was not in there. I have never owned a .45 muzzleloader and don't know how much powder this thing will take. Does anybody know of a place I can get one of these owners manuals on line. It is nearly impossible to find information on these since the company is out of business. Thanks for any help that can be given.
