Mods.....please move this if appropriate. Couldn't find any other place it seemed perfectly fitted.

So....my question. Your top 5 bucket list guns today?

For me, maybe somewhat in order, or maybe not in order.....will probably change tomorrow. :)

Winchester 1895 in 35WCF....preferably a takedown model
1898 Springfield Krag - rifle, not carbine
Needham Conversion Bridesburg Musket (this might be #1 or #2)
Enfield Snider
Ruger GP100 in 327FM

I'm not putting this out there as a WTB or WTT....just looking for a fun conversation.

What's in your bucket list????

Interesting question.

This far down the road, I've already gotten mine, enjoyed them for several years, and then placed or sold most of them.

The two I'd always wanted, bought, and still keep: One is a Colt Gold Cup in .45ACP.
The other is a M1A. I was among the last to train with the M14 at Parris Island, and have a emotional attachment to it.

Ones that have come and gone:
A State Arms Big Bertha in .50BMG. Sold
A unfired, professionally sporterized Remington 03-A3. Placed with my sister
The S&W Model 52 in .38Spec. I'm in the process of buying back.

Is this guns that are actually made or just dream guns? I have a list for both Lol

Actually been made list is...as of right this second, likely to change before I’m finished typing...

1. S&W model 16.

2. S&W model 10 in 32s&w long (only ever seen one, in a book).

3. Taylor’s New Model No.3 Frontier (stupidity sold my 3” Schofield).

4. S&W Triple Lock 44 hand ejector 5” (stupidity sold it too, yeah I’m dumb).

5. Marlin 1893 half round in 30-30.

This list needed to be extended to say 10, or 20, or 30...

Ya'll have to understand that this list is only good for the next 5 minutes...

Steyr 1950 in 270 WCF...but it's gotta have all the bells and whistles I want.
A Vierling by any top shelf German maker in 16 bore double over either 8 X 57R or 9.3 X 74R and under 5.65 X 35R vierling.
Nice 1885 Low Wall in 32-20
Still lust for a Ballard #5 Pacific in 38-55
A Reichs revolver

I have or have had about everything else I really wanted, double rifles, British and German, drillings, combination guns, custom pre-WWI and pre-WWII Mausers, Mannlicher/Schoenauers, Colt SAA's, all gens, Sharps, fine double guns, custom and factory muzzleloader rifles, revolvers, pistols, fowlers and double guns, Schuetzen rifles, Rook rifles, any handgun I wanted. I've truly been blessed....in a lot more ways than firearms.

I have many of mine and the list is a short dream, not any reality.

New England pattern musket - new made is fine, I want to shoot it.
Artillery Luger with holster
(and the missing .45ACP Luger, of course!)
And, as long as we are talking about fantasies - a place where I can shoot off my back porch!

Most of the rest I have.

My bucket list is pretty well crossed off, with my favorite being my 03A3. Chances are pretty much nil, but I would like to have Dad's service revolver from the 80's, a 4" 686. Or, my great grandfather's service 1911, which was stolen in the 70's.

A nice original Colt SA revolver in 44-40 with stag horn grips.
A miniature trapdoor actioned 22 LR in a nice piece of wood and a small tang sight.
Just about any fine falling block rifle in a CF caliber that I don't already own.
A left hand BSA martini international action stocked and barreled as a lightweight sporter in 22 RF

Original and good condition English rook rifle, around 30 caliber or reclined to 32swl.
Still watching for a nice checkered Rem 14 in original condition, 30 or 35, carbine a plus
Remington Skeet C 870 in 20 ga to go with my 12s
I would snatch up a M16 Smith
Last is to get in gear and finish my M591 Rem in 32Auto.

Well for me there is too many that I want, but too little funds to get. But I did got this one fix that my Dad found ,my oldest sister told me about it , it is the 1864 58 cal Bridesburg Musket, it is complete, with a bayonet that I found years ago at a gun show to go with it and found a place that makes the sling that gose on it. It shoots great also.

My dad said "Being of sound mind and body, I spent it all!" That was about 30 years before he actually passed. I didn't make it home for his final illness, or the funeral. He could still talk the last time I talked to him, and I will remember him better that way. I saw how shaken he was when his dad died, and didn't want to think of him that way. I didn't get any of his stuff, but I'm OK with that. He taught me a lot, and I've tried to remember every lesson.

Since I've pretty much scratched all my itches there are very few oddities that would interest me at this time. I generally shoot 22lr 25-50 percent of the time while out shooting so some nice RF revolvers would be nice.

A Freedom Arms 22 LR/MAG 83 or 97 revolver with a 5.5-6.5" barrel

A S&W x17 with a 6" barrel

A 25-20 1892 with a 26" Octagonal barrel

A Rem pump in 25-20 or 32-20

An 1885 in a small cartridge

And maybe a sharps for BP Silouhette when I'm retarded.

My number one is a replacement for a stolen gun.

1. 45-70 I had an older Marlin but anything would do even a single shot.
2. A Henry gold boy 22.
3. A over under trap gun with removable chokes in 12 or 20
4. Some form of a 45acp rifle. Not an AR platform
5. Since we are dreaming. A PRS rifle custom built in a chassis system. Funny thing is even if I manage to save up and build one I would not be able to afford the glass. LOL

Yep. I bought a used JM Marlin back in 2008 or so, an 1894 in .357. It was beautiful and flawless. Paid $400 at a gun shop in Arizona.

Four years later, got divorced and needed money, so put it on Gunbroker and got $1000.

Bought a new 1894 in 2018 to replace it and it was sad how much worse the new rifles are. I still don't understand people who think the new ones are just as good as the old ones. The wood to metal fit, wood and metal finishing, smoothness of action, and overall quality is just not there with the new ones.

... Finish my list would be WWII era M14.

Since they entered service in 1959 that would really be a find!

There are a lot of guns I'd like to add to the collection if the time/finances work out, but I think I've had the opportunity to scratch most of the itches I've really had. Some of the guns that I really really wanted didn't live up to expectations, and some things really surprised me pleasantly.

I guess a short list would be:

A replacement for the S&W 631 4" that I sold a few years ago to finance a project.
A revolving 40mm grenade launcher
Norell 10/22 trigger pack
81mm Mortar
S&W 76
