I am depriming and SS wet tumbling a bunch of 38 special brass to sell.
I see people wanting to buy "wadcutter' brass.
After loading 38 special for over 50 years I have no idea what makes certain brass "wadcutter" brass.
Would some of you post pictures of "wadcutter" brass so I can see what it looks like and can separate it to sell separately.
Thanks, dale

I believe both Remington and Winchester produced WC brass with a double cannelure about 1/3 down in the brass. I have seen this with a RP, Remington, WW, Winchester, Western and UMC headstamp. I believe Federal WC has a single cannelure line near the same place, all marked Federal. While other manufacturers have made some I have not seen enough of them or their original boxes to know. FYI, about 35%-40% of the wc brass I have seen is nickle.
I consider it a plus to segregate it but also a pain. I would have no problems firing +P loads in it and am sure I have done so.
PM me a phone number and I will message you some pictures if you want. The linked thread above shows it well.

So, can I assume that "wadcutter brass has to have 2 cannelures?

No. Federal wadcutter brass has a single cannelure just north of the midpoint of the brass, as compared to regular Federal brass having a single cannelure just below the case mouth.

Here’s what I have on hand... I’ll be sad when I shoot out the WRA. I got lucky picking up “some old 38 brass my Dad had”

Wad cutter brass is reported to have a thinner case wall midway down the interior to prevent lude swag ing the hollow base wadcutters down. Starling reportedly manufactures their 38 Special brass to this standard. I just load mine up in 357 brass to prevent the donut of crud since I shoot them outta 357 most of the time.
