hi Jonp... its a under 200 dollar Hubsan 501 SS.. conditions for flying around here are tuff.. it not a matter of "if" you crash but more of a "when"... lots of trees.. lots of critters, and lots of potential obstacles. much better to plan for the worst and hope for the best. the drone without the transmitter will prolly only cost around around 60 bucks or so as I am all tooled up with chargers, extra batteries, and piles of drone parts and props, so I am very careful, but not heart broken when mishap arrives.
