Lee 195 grain, failure with all loads. Lee 210 grain, acceptable, not great accuracy with 8 grains Unique. H&G #258 shoots fantastic with 13 grains Bluedot. Arsenal 41-220 RF shoots fantastic with 11 grains 800x. The 295 grain SSK bullet (also sold by Penn bullets) with 19 grains H110 would be a great choice for your blackhawk. They shoot great in my model 57, but the cylinder often rotates under recoil. The blackhawk doesn't have that flaw.

Ive not loaded for 41 magnum but for my loading in various other calibers such as 44 magnum, 38 special, and 357 magnum, I find the one book one caliber by loadbooks USA to be invaluable.

I use 7.2 gr of Unique under a 210 gr boolit

210 grain commercially cast SWC loaded over 17.5 grains of 2400 shot well. That 17.5 grain load of 2400 with a suitable boolit has shot well in every large-bore magnum from .357 on up to 45 Colt Ruger only. Not necessarily the most powerful load, but very accurate.

H&G258 or Lyman 410459 with 18 grs of 2400. been using it for more than 30 years.

JShipwash,
welcome to the forum.

I like to use Red Dot with a .411 WC 196gr (Accurate Molds), it worked well in my RBH. I think I got the load data from Nick Harvey's manual.

These work in my gun, but work up to and use at your own risk.

210 gr Sierra JHP over 20 gr H110, notes say accurate, mild, 1,225 fps
250 gr Cast Performance w/gas check, over 20 gr H110 (work up to this one), 1,250 fps, Ruger only

Mine is an OM Blackhawk with 6.5" barrel.
