I'm pretty well stocked, but I decided I wanted to shoot/load a bunch of 45-70 and I also wanted to conserve my Varget for the .308... Since I haven't been able to find Varget in some time. So, I started looking for the usual suspects: H4198, H4895, etc...

Well, there isn't any on the major online shoppes. I think one local shop has some H4895 but probably only 1 or 2 1# cans. I did score an 8 lber of H335 at Midway, but it is out of stock at this point.

I imagine inventory will come back, but wow. It's like walking down the toilet paper isle at this point.

Plenty of powder and primers in my neck of the woods except H4198, I stumbled onto 4 lbs a couple months back and snatched it up.

I have almost stopped buying powder locally. I can do a bulk order from Powder Valley or one of the other vendors.

Primers I can sometimes source locally, but there again I can purchase 10 or 20K in with a powder order, and it's delivered to my door.

Check out Reloaders Unlimited, they had some IMR 4895 this morning.

It comes in waves and it goes FAST... keep some $$$ in reserve and be ready to pounce when you see it! I try to stay well ahead of the curve and buy it before I need it. I was lucky to find Varget and H4350 and W231 in 8 pound jugs locally last month so I should be good for a while. Primers on the other hand--especially small pistol--are rare as hens teeth at the moment...

That's the way to do it. That way you don't get caught up in the panic buying.
