I have around a dozen MiHec moulds (it's an addiction !)22,9mm,357,40,41,44,45,50
The biggest, a .50 for 500 S&W ; and the smallest, 227-640 Hornet have pins and a set screw that go in from the top to attach the handles. All the others have the long partially threaded screw that go in from the bottom.
Anyone have another caliber "top loader" ; and have any idea why the difference ?

To save space for shafts at the bottom. I saw it also in 3cav MP 311-180 Sil. Same reason. Clever designing to keep dimensions of blocks small.

Thanks Gamsek; Haha, it didn't click that both my moulds are 3 cav and the center HP pin is where the screw would go.

(I'm a little slow sometimes !)
