I saw this on a reloading group on FB. I think it's brilliant. Lee could press a mild steel collar on the toggles and it would end the cracking "problem" with using sintered steel. I personally would prefer they went with a different steel alloy and annealed them myself, but I think this would work fine.

I think Lee added a "weak link" to the press to prevent excessive force being applied......And when you are a regular reader of CB ,its pretty easy to see what a wise move it was......And for those who like to rubbish powder metallurgy as weak might like to consider the rods of many high performance engines are PM.

I just don't like them being as hard and brittle as they are. If you overtighten the handle they'll crack. For folks that want to torque the crap out of the bolts, they should at least send a crush washer, or sleeve.
