With all this time on my hands, I've been casting for a number of days. Two 9.0kg cylinders of gas and 80kgs of lead, probably got enough bullets for the next 5 years (not that I didn't have enough already)

L-R: 6mm, 270, 7mm, 308, 303, 303, 8mm, 375, 459, 510 & 585

What is the diameter of the 8 mm bullet and who makes the mould?

It's a Saeco 190gn sized to 0.325". I also use the same boolit in my 32/40 but sized to 0.322"

Is lead plentiful in your location? It would seem like you must have access to a lot of it! NICE!

I'm envious BAW. . . All the casting and reloading stuff lives with my retired Dad - he has the space; I don't. I'm furloughed from work; my wife is still going in 1-2 days a week, thus constantly resetting my exposure, thus I've voluntarily quarantined myself away from my casting bench. It pretty much sucks - Dad can still run a mold for a time, but I'm our endurance caster.

What is that first .303 on the left, with the flat nose, conventional lube groove, and what appears to be tumble lube grooves? Tell me more - that looks like a fun one.

Having cast in the last four weeks, at least, a 2-year supply of boolits for every rifle caliber I load, I can appreciate your dilemma...like 'where do I go from here?'. Will contemplate this further after lunch as I powder-coat and size the approximately 2000 147 gr. .358 RNs that I cast over the weekend.

I am still hitting the office every day but I think that will stop this week, all our projects are shut down. So I am looking forward to increasing my bullet supply.

How do you lube the 54 minie? I cast some a week and change ago and was thinking about just dipping it a couple of cycles in 50/50 crisco and beeswax.

There is nothing wrong with pan lubing your boolits. Before I got a sizer, I pan lubed thousands of boolits.

Before I retired, I acumulated about 2+ ton of scrap lead including 350kg of 50/50 solder.

The boolit is a 190gn 0.314" which is very interesting. The old range shooters used to dip the boolit nose in pure lanoline when shooting (have an old range box with a jar and you can see where the nose imprints are made). Those tumble lube grooves do the same job! They shoot exceptionally well.

Most of the muzzle loader and BPCR boolits are finger lubed with SPG as they are used
