View Full Version : My Happy Easter brass score!

I just got a special Easter present today! There was a fellow selling some estate items through our local gun club and I just bought 1,152 rounds of sized, primed, and belled, Lapua .32 S&W Long brass for $35! I looked up the cost of new Lapua brass in a 1,000 round box and nearly had a heart attack ... $409 Canadian plus taxes and shipping! $35 is less than the cost of the primers so basically the brass was free ...

I have Stevens Favorite that was a .32 RF that was converted to .32 S&W Long centrefire and this brass will keep it fed for the rest of my life. I've been watching for several years to try and find a classic S&W Model 16 K32, but they are scarce as unicorn poop up here in Canada. I'll keep watching and hoping as it would make a great companion piece to the Stevens Favorite.

Be still my itchy trigger finger! I have the K-32 as well as several frames in 32 S&W Long and my Ruger Blackhawk and custom stainless K-frame in 327, all of which dearly love to have me load up 32 S&W Longs. There probably aren't enough available rounds of 32 in Virginia to feed these ravenous beasts. I could only hope that some day I'll run up on a batch of brass like that!

Good for you! That Favorite has got to be a lot of fun in 32 and I'm sure that brass will keep you shooting for a long time! Enjoy and have fun!

A truly Glorious Easter and what a score. Been seriously thinking of sending either my cadet martini out and get it relined to 32-20 or one of my 22rf martinis on the thick wall action and have that one relined. Decisions, decisions. Frank

Awesome that your granddaughter enjoys the rifle. Do I see a hammer back/finger on trigger situation there?
