Colt Lightning 44/40

I want to ask the guy who had the dandy collection of Colt Lightnings about loading them, he said something like He bought appropriate bullets when they were a deal and put the appropriate amount of HP38, or Titegroup or something.

What I want to know does he have a particular .44 load that works best. I'm also curious if he has ever slugged a .44wcf lightning barrel.
