I'm trying to do some testing with the Lee 309-150 F in my 300blk AR. 16" barrel, pistol length gas 1:7. I'm running H110. Boolits are gc & powder coated. Trying to determine what I should be using for COL. Any input would be appreciated.

It has to fit in the magazine and chamber. Trial and error as throats are different.

This way runs great and shoots so-so at 40 yards for me. The C309113F has less shank in the boiler room but doesn't shoot any better IME with my 7" twist Anderson barrel. YMMV.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200410/889d42d780697dbf2e5dcae7df077c36.jpg

Out of curiosity, what are you running for powder & how many grains?

Rtyler8140, I have tried these three loads only- before I moved on to other projects. Frankly I wasn't getting the accuracy I wanted with cast. Jacketed of all weights shoot great. Cest la vie.
15.5 grs of H110/W296
19 grs of Acc1680
14.5 grs of Lil Gun
PC'd or TL C309150F sized .309"

Thanks for the info. I have a few different loads of H110 to try, but was concerned with pressure. Seeing your COL and h110 charge put my mind at ease.

These loads are mid range for jacketed 150 gr bullets from Hornady’s manual. I’m loading BO’s this weekend and I just may try one more time.....
Edit: I tried slowing them down and it didn't help. This is from bags at 25 yards. The targdot is 1". The full velocity loads shoot about the same. If I ever build another .300 Blackout it will be with a 10" twist.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200414/554c88c2eba94748c6adf6cce9ef37c9.jpg

I ended up doing 15.0g-15.8g in increments of .2g @ 1.920. Hopefully I can test them out soon.
