Anyone use IMR sr4756 in handgun ammo ?

I have a can of it,,, think Ill load some in 44 spl

Without looking at my reloading notes, I use it from .44 magnum to .380acp and probably every load in between.

It was one of my favorite powders for heavies in 9mm. I say _was_ because it was discontinued a few years ago. It did really well for me with 147s in 9mm and reasonably well with 230s in 45ACP

It was my favorite powder for medium loads in 357 and 44 mag. I was quite upset when it was discontinued.

Evidently they discontinued the entire SR series? Dirtbags...

..was my favorite powder that would make Specials into Magnums.... Really a big loss for me...

Yes, my favorite powder for revolvers also. Mostly the .38 special but others as well. Great velocity without pressure spiking. I don't know who or why the decision was made to discontinue but he ought o have his rear end kicked into the next county. james
