Anybody in need for a primer catcher for the RCBS Rock Chucker IV/Supreme? I have three more to give away - they are two-colored ones made from "left over" plastics, functionally 100% the same as the ones I sell, just unique color combinations... They only fit the RC IV/Supreme and cannot be used on another press.

First three forum members who claim one will get one shipped on Monday. Please specify "left", "middle", "right" and check that nobody else has claimed that one already :-) (and yes, they come with the tube, tube plug and ram slot filler)

Big Tom, How very generous of you.
I bought one for my RCBS Jr some time ago.
They are they handiest thing ever.
No more spent primers on the floor.
I run the hose off to the right into a gallon jug since I work from the left.
I would recommend one of them to anyone.....dale

That's nice of you! How much do you sell them for ? I've got a late 80s rockchucker and I'm tired of primers all over the floor. Don't know which gen it is that's when I bought it new.

If you can post a picture or two from the front and right side, and tell me the letters casted into the frame, I can tell you which one itis. Pretty much if the handle bar is in the middle, it is a JR press, if offset to the right, most likely a RC or RC II.

Thanks for the reply Tom . It's a RC2 sorry for the confusion. I was thinking that there maybe other versions of the press other than RC,RC2 or RC2 supreme. I was curious if you made your primer catcher system for an RC2.

Hi Biggin, here is the one I have for the RC2 - currently not in stock, but if interested, let me know. Forum members get a 20% discount on the catchers.

Quick update - 12-13-20

I have three more catchers for the RC IV that want to make somebody's day or Christmas... Like the previous ones, they come with mixed colors, or in a color that I just used to test with. Functionally, they are 100% fine and will come with catcher, tube and ram slot fillers. These will only fit the RCBS RC IV/Supreme!

In addition to that, there are two catchers for the RCBS Partner press that are looking for a new home. Also 100% functional, but did not pass the final beauty test....

Claim your catcher here and send me a pm with your shipping info!

Merry Christmas!

I would like one of the Junior catchers, please. Be better than a bucket on the floor to catch primers. Do you make a filler for the lee turret ram so that it is not necessary to have the primer arm in to direct primers down the ram?
Thank you for the gift and Merry Christmas

Nice gesture Tom.

One of the greatest ideas I`ve seen since I started reloading over 50 yrs ago.

This is a fantastic offer. I can just imagine a clean, primerless floor for Christmas. Those little things go everywhere. Do you only do RCBS presses?

Big Tom
12-15-2020, 08:57 AM
Yes, it is primarily RCBS. I have one for a very old Pacific (Bair Deluxe) and some other gadgets, but I like to own the presses I design things for, so I can make sure they fit :-) Maybe in 2021 there will finally be a Dillon coming.... Santa approved, but the finance boss of the house is not convinced yet...

Do you have a specific press that you are looking for parts?

Yes, I do. I load on 2 Lyman Tru Line Junior presses. One is the older straight arm style and my primary press is the k style arm. My son has a Pacific. All are late 50's to early 70's vintage.

Let me see if I can get my hands on one of these presses. If so, designing a catcher should be no problem.

I received mine today. The green and black combo looks great on my press. It’s much more rugged than the flimsy catcher that came with the press! I’ll be bragging you up to all my loading friends!

Thank you again and Merry Christmas!

I just double checks that on my press - the handle orientation does not make a difference, the catcher will not be in the way. PM me your address and it will go out on Monday. Found one more in a "unique" (color is "green'ish rainbow") that I don't sell on my website, so we're still at:

1 for RC IV/Supreme and 2 for the Partner presses left.

Picked up mine I found it on the front porch today. Happy Happy Happy. I was worried I might of been the victim of the lost and stolen delivery system. Yes I maybe a pessimist. Anything good can turn into chaos. Thanks again made my day. Greg<huntnman

I got three more catchers for the Rock Chucker IV / Supreme press (will NOT fit others!) to give away. They are two colored ones, made out of "leftover plastic", but otherwise the same specs and quality as the ones I sell.

The first three who can use it, reply here and PM me your shipping information!

I can't really use one, but good one you for doing something cool for your fellow handloaders.

You are Dynomite. These are sorely needed item. Yesterday I decapped about 300 cases, so, without a catcher, guess what? The problem is I use a CH4D model 204 that guides the primer through a slot in the ram right to the handle/leverage assembly. No way to catch it early and no room at the bottom of the slot in the ram. I probably need to buy a new press. So, good on you for helping solve this problem.

Big Tom

Yes, unfortunately, the primer collection is a sore point for the RCBS presses. Not making them unusable or a bad press at all, but at a minimum disappointing that pretty much all other manufacturers come up with better solutions. Plus RCBS clearly refuses to even look at it as an area for improvement - their "solution" on one of the latest model (Rebel) is "let's simply dump them straight to the floor" :-)
