I just came into an older H&G 4 cavity mold that did not come with handles.

Does anyone know where I can get (or modify) a set of handles to fit it?

Not all H&G molds are the same, if the slot where the handle fits into, measures 1/4"
then you can use Lyman 4 cavity handles.

I have an extra pair that measures .310 thickness. 5/16 inch.

Looks like the slot is .245

Through the years, Hensley & Gibbs/George Hensley used two different trough sizes for their handles. You're way ahead of the game, having measured yours. I might suggest contacting Rick at KAL Tool & Die -- a Vendor Sponsor on this forum -- as he purveys them. http://www.kal.castpics.net/default.htm
Through the years I've -- an editorial personal use note here -- have cobbled several handles, but -- to and for me -- I've found the "Real Mckoy" -- H&G handles, as well as those from KAL Tool -- enable the best quality bullets. Through a half-century of casting, often the hard ($$$) way I learned a quick and easy fix for many mould challenges, is to simply fit them with handles manufactured for them.
Good luck!
