This is not a thread about who likes him, who doesnt like him, who he upset, what the moderators think of him but just letting some that may care about their fellow man know that he has been sick. Had a couple stints in the hospital.
I went round and round with him several times but did check on him. I hope him the very best.
I care about him.
Send him a shout out by email
May the Lord bless him and take care of him.

Thanks for letting me know. I've talked to him some. He definitely has his opinions, but grounded in experience.

Yes, Jim is well grounded in experience. I like him, and have communicated with him off and on since he left here.

Jim is opinionated based on many years of personal experience. I always enjoyed his candor on this sight. Been a while sense I last spoke to him. Hope he recovers soon.

Gee whiz. I hope he recovers fully. IIRC, he's in his 80's. He certainly did some fine gunsmithing, too. I still remember his Kentucky rifle he carved from scratch. And he reported his own personal TESTS, and not just opinion, repeated infinitum until they've become truisms. I love the crotchety old rascal. His passing would be a great loss to us all. He's a real gem, even if in the rough, so to speak. I pray for his recovery.

I wish he wouldn't have gotten himself banned, folks like him are the spice of a good forum.

I wish him the best and speedy recovery.

Under previous owners his style was not an issue. He didn't change this site did.

We went around and around on a lot of issues. That always lead to interesting and spicy discussion that brought forth lot of good information that benefited all.

His conclusions generally were spot on. The areas of disagreement were mostly on how he reached his conclusions. I really do miss his posts.

Hey Bazoo
I’d like to send him my regards. I called him last year, and really enjoyed speaking with him. Will call him again tomorrow, but just in case, I’d appreciate his email address. Thanks for offering to share it! Harles.

I miss him too. We had a "discussion" about primers and H110 that still brings a smile to my face. Jim, we are thinking about you and wish you a speedy recovery.

I liked him and he was ok by me too however his continued actions after multiple warnings earned him a Perma-ban. He must follow the rules like everyone else as we do not give special treatment just because we like someone or because their post are good.

Maybe the rules are in need of an update?

I put this on here for the people that likes Jim Miner and cares about him. Let's not turn this into a sniping thread about the Moderators, site owner, or general members.
This site , while not perfect is okay. Probably just as good as most and better than maybe a couple.
Like I said let's don't turn this into a sniping contest by the general members, moderators or the site owner.
Being kind to one another should be the goal.
Because in the end the moderators and the site owner have the power to close the thread which follows "Might Makes Right".
Let's remain calm.
