Does anyone remember post`s from around 2013-2014 started by a member who was using TWCPRR (turtle wax chrome polish and rust remover) to clean and polish chambers, bores and trigger assy`s? If memory serves me the member was mixing it 50/50 with 10 weight motor oil and using a bore snake to thoroughly clean and/or polish the bore and trigger assy`s of new to him rifles and pistols. The member stated he felt it was entirely safe because the rust remover component had a grit of 4000. I used the stuff on a pre Gun Control Act ie; no serial number, Savage 325C that became a 125 yd tack driver with excellent accuracy. Ditto a Rem 700C both chambered in .222 Rem.

There was a guy from New York state that promoted that technique. I can't remember his name. I do remember that he passed a while back.
